The department

Our Family Department provide specialist legal and financial advice on a number of issues following a relationship breakdown, issues involving children and offer services relating to pre and post nuptial agreements.  The successful candidate will contribute to delivering this high quality legal advice to individual clients.

 

About the role

  • Deliver high quality legal advice demonstrating the ability to appreciate an individual client's sensitive position and to secure the best outcome in the circumstances
  • Keep up-to-date with updates in the law, particularly relevant case law and changes to the law and legal principles following new case decisions
  • Run legal matters in an organised and efficient manner ensuring all key court deadlines are met
  • Drafting client correspondence in a clear, coherent and constructive manner
Other information
  • Qualified Solicitor who is 4/5 years PQE and skilled in Family Law
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage time effectively, stay organised and prioritise where necessary
  • Strong written and verbal skills – excellent advocacy skills are key for attending court
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver excellent client service by handling potentially emotional clients in a natural sympathetic and professional manner
