The department

Our Residential Property department is our largest by headcount and has teams in each of our three office locations.  The Luton team is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to primarily support a busy Partner.  We attract a high volume of good quality work and are proud to have a dominant market position in property with a renowned reputation for delivering high quality work for our clients.   

Our role

The role is ideal for an experienced Residential Property Legal Secretary who:

  • is seeking a part-time role min. 3 full days per week - Wednesdays-Fridays
  • has solid previous experience of supporting Partner/fee earners in running freehold sale and purchase, and leasehold transactions 
  • enjoys working in a fast paced environment 
  • is able to work independently on certain routine/administrative aspects of the property transaction  
  • demonstrates high standards of client service delivery
  • demonstrates strong IT skills - is able to populate precedent documentation from client information, save and access IT document history, has experience of relevant property portals including the Land Registry
  • is confident and professional in handing routine client and estate agency enquiries as required by the fee earner

The role requires:

  • an experienced legal secretary - experience in residential property
  • experience of audio transcription
  • good computer literacy
  • fast and accurate touch typing - min 50wpm 
  • close attention to detail
  • a natural sense of urgency and able to work under pressure
  • a professional and courteous telephone manner
