The department

Our Residential Property department is our largest by headcount and has teams in each of our three office locations.  The Harpenden team is looking to recruit two Paralegals to join a Partner and three lawyers and other support members.  We are proud to have a dominant market position in property and of our renowned reputation for delivering high quality work for our clients.   

Our role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • providing administrative and transactional support predominantly to a busy Lawyer whilst assisting others in the Harpenden team
  • playing a pivotal role in the progress of conveyancing matters: 
  • document production and amendment
  • competent use of a case management system
  • accurate data entry and telephone contact with clients, estate agents and other third parties as well as general administration. 

 

Other information

The role requires:

  • prior paralegal experience - candidates with previous Residential Property paralegal experience will be at a distinct advantage.  Please note that whilst this role may suit a law/LPC graduate with relevant experience, it will not lead directly to a Solicitor Training Contract 
  • competent users of Microsoft Word with fast and accurate computer skills

  • demonstrated close attention to detail

  • the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.

  • a natural sense of urgency and to be able to work autonomously on matters trained to complete

  • a professional and courteous telephone manner
